Develop a strategic vision for raising achievement and progress across the year group in liaison with the VP for QofE
Ensure raising standards across the year group is a priority across all staff students and parents
Review the achievement and progress of individuals and groups of students across the year group using SMID and all other available data
Work with the VP for QofE to co-ordinate an Intervention Programme for the year group
Attend Academic Board and SLT meetings as requested to review key marginal students and subject performance
Follow up on students underachieving after each data drop in liaison with the VP for QofE
Coordinate parent meetings for students who are underachieving in many subjects and are cause for concern and implement appropriate intervention
Communicate areas of concern and support in place to SLT

Develop strong relationships with parents of key students as appropriate
both to involve them in their child’s learning and to organise support and intervention
Ensure key marginal students have an allocated mentor who can motivate and support them in achieving school benchmarks
Lead motivational intervention for students across the year group to ensure that attitudes to learning are outstanding
Provide support during the transition process to the next year group and during the options process if applicable
To lead the Internal Exam Board process to ensure the rigour and validity of assessments and data.
